Dortmunder Lager

Like our other seasonal lagers, we take our time with this beer, cold fermenting our Dortmunder style export lager in the German tradition with bottom fermenting lager yeast. When we brew this classic style, we add sulfate to imitate the water of Dortmund and to give this beer a dry finish with a subtle yet lingering bitterness. Balancing the flavors of Colorado pilsner malt (graham cracker) and saphir hops (spicy, fruity, and floral), this stronger export style lager is very drinkable, quaffable even. Best consumed as a reward for tidying the garage, the contact list on your phone, your sock drawer, or any other herculean blow against entropy.
