ORYX is a Denver-based doom/sludge metal band comprised of Thomas Davis (vocals, guitars, synth), Abigail Davis (drums), and Joshua Kauffman (bass). ORYX is a monolithic force, characterized by thick, suffocating riffs, pulverizing drums, and vocals that seep into the listener's psyche like a toxic sludge.

Colorado Country. That's the sound The Barlow has been making since 2017, combining Red Dirt, Americana, outlaw country and guitar-heavy Southern rock into songs that are as rugged as the band's Denver home.

With a career now spanning six decades, Robyn Hitchcock remains a truly one-of-a-kind artist: surrealist rock ’n’ roller, acoustic troubadour, poet, painter, and writer. From The Soft Boys’ art-rock and The Egyptians’ Dadaist pop to solo masterpieces like 1984’s milestone I Often Dream of Trains and 1990’s Eye, Hitchcock has crafted a striking oeuvre rife with recurring marine life, obsolete electric transport, ghosts, cheese and what one writer has described as “morbid eroticism.”

BEN FOLSTEIN PRESENTS CHURCH OF MAGIC with Charles Papaya
A Hedonihilist Revival in Two Acts
-
Featuring multimedia artist Ben Folstein, with Feathericci, Jerry Weimer, Pete Van Leeuwen, Dan Gower, Nick Petree and The Enchantresses. Part rock show, part art show, part book signing, part record release party, part immersive satirical cultist fantasy, part College of Santa Fe reunion, this promises to be a magical night. The evening will feature Mantras in the form of a rock show, which is also the name of the record which will be released on that night. Free books will be available, and Ipsissimus Mark’s large scale artwork will be on display. The audience should also expect attempts at Astral Projection, as well as some burlesque Cult Rituals.
Equal parts country traditionalists and psychedelic explorers, Benson Highway Band bridges the gap between classic storytelling and modern-day sonic experimentation. Formed in late 2023, the band draws inspiration from the raw honesty of Tracy Lawrence, the hazy atmospherics of Galaxie 500, the poetic sorrow of Townes Van Zandt, and the lo-fi urgency of Guided By Voices.
The project came to life after longtime friends Sean Whalen and Lucas Steele reconnected—by chance—at a Mudhoney show. Whalen, having spent years in Brooklyn before returning to the Southwest, found himself bored at the gig, only to run into Steele after more than a decade apart. That meeting reignited a musical partnership that quickly found its footing in the Americana and alternative country scenes.
Their 2024 debut album, East Side Blues, was an autobiographical collection of songs steeped in grief, reflecting on Whalen’s post-pandemic life, divorce, and the passage of time. The album resonated with a growing audience, earning underground success and establishing Benson Highway Band as a fresh yet deeply rooted voice in the modern country-psych landscape.
Benson Highway Band has shared the stage with artists like Riley Downing of Deslondes fame and remains deeply connected to the Southwest Americana and alt-country scene. As they continue to push boundaries while honoring tradition, Benson Highway Band is carving out a space all their own.
